They’re back! Meet the L Family. This session was a little reminiscent of the first time we met. They were pregnant with baby E two years ago and booked me for some incredible, maternity pictures (still a favorite session of mine). Although life has changed a lot since then, their love hasn’t.
You also saw little E when she was a newborn, and for her first birthday most recently! It’s been such an honor to be an ongoing part of their lives in such a meaningful way. Here’s more from Mom!
What is E into these days?
Emmy is very into playing outside right now. If she could be out there all day, everyday she would! We can’t even say the word “outside” without her running to the closet to get her shoes and trying to open the door! She loves the big girl swing at the park and is so over being a baby. She also loves Frozen.
What makes E laugh?
The swings! When we push her, she gets the biggest smile, laughs, and says WHEEE!!! She also laughs when we tickle her, chase her around, or when we bring out her Wallaby or Bunny stuffed animal to play!
Is E more of a Mommy’s or Daddy’s girl?
She is a momma’s girl through and through right now. Shane is hoping for a switch soon though! ( He might be using a little bribery to get him to be the favorite!)
What do you enjoy doing together as a family?
Honestly, everything. We take a few family walks daily and everyone, even Hank, loves it! We try to make everything fun and try to turn even small outings into an adventure for Emmy. This summer we were thrilled when the zoo in Colorado Springs opened up and we loved taking Emmy to see all the animals. Watching her discover and fall in love with new things has been our favorite part of this year.
Describe what your family means to you.
Our family means everything to us. I know we are not alone when we say that this year has been a challenge with everything going on. The one constant Shane has kept repeating is as long as we have each other and our family, everything will be fine. I am so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing husband and beautiful little girl. We are so excited to add our little boy in January and we can’t wait to see how he changes our family for the better!
L Family, I cannot wait to meet your little in guy in January. Watch out little E! Life is about to change drastically (for the better)!
