His woodlands nursery theme is among my favorites! Meet Ronan! His adoring parents are overjoyed and totally in love with their baby boy. While they may not be sleeping much, the amount of love in their hearts outweighs any of the challenges that come from welcoming a baby into their home, their family, and their hearts. They also have two sweet kitties who showed their curiosity and affection toward Ronan while I was there. So adorable! Here’s more about Ronan:
Tell me about the anticipation of his arrival.
We were SO excited to meet our baby boy! E and I have been ready to be parents for a very long time. It was so fun preparing for his arrival by setting up the nursery, baby proofing the house, and taking lots of classes to make sure we were as prepared as possible!
How was your delivery experience?
We had a planned c-section due to Ronan being breech. Initially I was disappointed as I had always envisioned having a natural, unmedicated birth. Fortunately we were lucky to have family-centered providers who did everything possible to allow us to have a “gentle cesarean” where we had our doula in the OR, the drape lowered to watch baby’s birth and touch him right away, started skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding in the OR, and played our own music during surgery. Ronan happened to emerge to Lion King’s “Circle of Life.” His birth was beautiful.
What does adding Ronan to your family of three mean to you?
It’s a dream come true to have Ronan in our family! He is perfect and we can’t wait to watch him grow.

Ronan is calm, inquisitive, sweet, and snuggly.
How much did he weigh at birth?
He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz at birth.
