Horse Senior Pictures in Franktown, Colorado | Lindsay

To ask about her best friend is to ask about the mare she rides named Silky.  When asked, she would probably describe to you what it feels like to ride her, her gorgeous red hair blowing in the breeze, her lips curled into a pleasant smile, and that moment she’s forgotten about everything else in this world because she’s doing the one thing she loves most.

Meet Lindsay!  She’s a high school senior at Mountain Vista High School, and I met up with her just outside of Franktown, Colorado where she rides and cares for Silky.  She naturally wants to go into Equine science so that she can pursue her love for horses as a career.  So it was only natural to include Silky in her senior pictures!  I’m so glad she did, because I think these pictures tell a very special story of the two of them.  Here’s more about Lindsay (and Silky).

Tell me about your love for horses, and about your relationship with Silky.

I have always loved horses and growing up I attended a few horse camps during school breaks but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I was able to make them more part of my life. Silky is an amazing horse that I am fortunate enough to ride. She and I are building a bond and are looking forward to going into the jumping ring. Even though I have always loved horses, not just for their beauty but also their strength, nothing beats that feeling of flying with my best friend.

Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?

I would like to attend CSU as an equine science major.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

To graduate.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Keep going, it gets better.

Lindsay, I had a wonderful time meeting you and Silky!  You are wonderful with horses, and I can tell you have a natural gift and passion. Enjoy your senior year, and your sneak peek!
