Meet Owen! He’s an incoming senior at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado. Owen enjoys all sports and he’s one of those guys that everyone loves to be around. I adore his session, and could hardly wait to get his sneak peek up for him and his family!
Photographing high school seniors holds a special place in my heart. First, it takes hard work to complete high school. I love to celebrate these young people and all they are accomplishing and aspiring to achieve. Secondly, I’ve been in this place as a parent three times now. It’s a little bit of a rollercoaster of varying emotions. But I love more than anything that this is a family thing. No senior could get through high school alone. They need a support system, and the ones filling those shoes will be on the cheering squad every step of the way, especially at those difficult spots on the journey. They will also be the loudest ones whopping and hollering at the graduation ceremony with pride and so much excitement it can hardly contained.
Here’s more about Owen!
What will you miss about high school?
Friday night football where I get to support my school while hanging out with friends.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after graduation?
I want to get a degree in Finance.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
Playing baseball with all my friends.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
Attend one of every sporting event.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
Switch to white socks earlier.
Owen, and family, I hope this year brings you many special moments and a whole lot of togetherness as you embark on what some consider to be many “lasts” on your journey which will be followed by even more “firsts”… your first year after high school, your first career, and your first steps into the world of endless possibilities. Enjoy your senior year and your sneak peek!
