Rustic Meets Urban | Landon Class of 2027

Some experiences change the direction of your life.

For Landon, his experiences led him to the medical field.

After spending time in the hospital himself, he decided he wanted to help people. Now, as a senior at Ponderosa High School and a member of the Class of 2027, he’s already taking steps toward his future by enrolling in both the EMT and CNA programs at Ponderosa’s Legacy Campus. His goal is to become an anesthesiologist and help people through some of life’s most difficult moments.

We spent an evening together exploring downtown Castle Rock, which gave his session a fun rustic urban feel. From classic jeans and a T-shirt to cowboy boots and a hat, every outfit fit the location perfectly and reflected a different side of his personality.

Q&A with Landon

Tell me about the EMT and CNA programs you’re in this year.

I am taking EMT and CNA classes at Legacy Campus my senior year. They will be a good stepping stone for school.

Tell me what you want to study in college and what led you to being interested in the medical field.

I want to go into the medical field because I’ve been in the hospital before, and I’ve seen how things are there. I want to help people with their pain.

What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

My favorite childhood memory is probably when I was riding my Ziggle down the road and a car driving behind me honked its horn. It startled me, and I did a front flip off of it into the ditch and got road rash.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

My goal is to get all of my certificates from Legacy Campus and get good grades in school.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be not to be afraid to go outside and have fun.

Landon, thank you for choosing me to capture this exciting season of your life. Congratulations on everything you’ve already accomplished, and I hope your senior year is filled with great memories, success at Legacy Campus, and the excitement of taking the next step toward your future. Wishing you all the best as you pursue your dream of becoming an anesthesiologist.
