My Own Son’s High School Senior Pictures! | Jacob

A mother is never really prepared to see her babies fly the nest.  I know this firsthand because I’m walking in the shoes of my clients again this year with a high school senior of my own!  Pass the Kleenex, please!

Meet Jacob, MY HANDSOME second born son!  He’s a senior at Valor Christian High School. He’s taking some really tough classes (college level Physics and Calculus) to prepare him for a degree in engineering.  Since this post is all about him, I’ll try to stick to the point without getting too-too sappy.  But I’m telling you right now that won’t be easy! See Jaden’s senior pictures, Jacob’s best friend, for a picture of the two boys together at their combined session!

Here’s more from Jacob!

Tell me about your interests and passions.

Soccer, music, planes.

Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?

I’d like to go to a school for engineering.

What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

My favorite memories are going swimming with my brothers and going to the park with my friends.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

Other than finishing my college applications, I hope to finish my model plane.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Whatever you put into something, that is how much you will get out of it.

My sweet boy, Jacob, I will always cherish the memories of cuddling the little you in my lap to read books together and holding your tiny hand as we walked to the park.  Your bedtime hugs were the best, and I was sad when you decided you were too old to continue them (which was like last year, I think).  Thanks for giving us the least amount of stories of all my kids to tell about your teenage years because of your integrity and your desire to always do the right thing.  You will advance quickly in life because of that quality alone.  I love your heart for Jesus most about you and your compassion for others is an outstanding quality that I admire and strive to be like!  I’ll leave you with one more thing as you enter into independence and adulthood in just a short time:

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

You will do well son. Stay close to the Lord.  I’m proud of you and you will ALWAYS hold my heart!

Love,
Mom
