The A Family is back! I’ll remind my readers that nearly 18 years ago was when the A Family and my family moved into houses across the street from one another on the same cul-de-sac. After a number of moves for each of us, we are no longer neighbors. But I’m so glad for their friendship over all these years.

What is it like to be in this season with adult and almost adult children?
Weird – trying to prepare in all different ways for being “empty nesters” while enjoying the time we still have the kids around is bittersweet.
What does your family enjoy doing together?
Traveling, watching movies, going for walks, and eating – we eat together often and enjoy that a lot! (haha)
What makes you guys laugh together?
Poking fun at each other, the kids always terrorize Andre with “tickle parties” that is usually funny… the boys like to hide and scare the girls. Ya know, the typical 6 year old behavior! We have fun and laugh together a lot.
What is one thing about this season of life that you don’t want to forget?
Everything. I feel like we are in a special season, it’ll never be repeated, every minute is a special gift from God.
Describe what your family means to you.
Our family is love, joy, comfort, home… I would do anything for these guys, and I am almost positive that the feeling is mutual! We love each other exactly as we are, but have hope for growth and encourage each other to face our challenges. We’ve learned that seasons come and go, but we will always be there for each other. We do our best to follow the perfect example set by our Heavenly Father who has blessed us abundantly – I don’t ever want to take that for granted.
A Family, your family is a blessing! What would we ever have done if we hadn’t met in the cul-de-sac all those years ago? It was a God-thing for sure, and I’m abundantly grateful for all you mean to us.
