Mountain Vista High School Senior Pictures in Highlands Ranch, Colorado | Brook

Meet Brook!  She’s adorable.  I could have her in front of my camera all day long, and I think you can see why.  She’s got beauty, charm, and exciting goals for a future career as a surgeon.  This girl has her sights set high, and she’s also an incredibly talented artist!  We had fun talking about photography, but that is not her only talent, as you will read.  You’ll love getting to know Brook!

Tell me about your love for art.  What kind of art do you enjoy best and why?

I love drawing and painting. I love using colored pencils. I mostly draw animals. I really like photography and making short movies. I do some digital art. I used to sew all the time when I was a kid. My favorite medium is acrylic paint.

How has the pandemic changed your thinking about school, your future, or just life in general?

The pandemic was and is really hard to adjust to. Doing online school was terrible.  I thought it would be ok, but I really missed going in and seeing my friends and teachers. This pandemic has also made me feel like I should not take anything for granted and that I should always be trying my best to live in the moment.

Tell me more about wanting to go into the medical field.

I would love to be a heart surgeon. I just think the heart is so interesting and complicated. I would love to learn more about it. I think my interest on the heart came from the fact that my aunt, dad, grandma, and me all have a hole in our hearts.

What is one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year?

I hope to get my CNA certification and then work as a nurse assistant. I also hope to get a 4.0 GPA.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

I would tell my younger self to live life to the fullest.

Brook, it has been an honor to be a part of your senior year.  I hope it’s incredible and that your career as a heart surgeon helps to save many lives.
