Senior Pictures in Castle Rock, Colorado | Kaley

This adorable young woman is Kaley!  She’ll be a senior this year at Chaparral High School and I was overjoyed to meet her and take her senior pictures in Castle Rock, Colorado!   She had some wonderful thoughts to share with me about her passion (soccer), the pandemic, her childhood, and her upcoming senior year.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about soccer, I have been playing since I was little and I love to be on the field.

How has the pandemic changed your thinking about school, your future, or just life in general?

The pandemic has changed a lot of things for me.  There is uncertainty about my senior year, I afraid my classmates and I will miss out on homecomings, senior sunrise, bonfires, and all the other fun things we get to do as a class.  I am uncertain about where to attend college and am unable to visit most of them to help me decide because of the pandemic.  I miss being able to just hang out with my friends and not being scared to get sick.

What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

Some of my favorite child hood memories are camping with my family, going to Florida every year to visit my grandparents, and spending time at the ocean.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

I hope to keep my GPA up and have a good time with my friends.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Don’t worry about what other people think of you.  Be yourself and you will find people who love you for you.

Kaley, those are excellent words of advice, for even us who are walking a number of years ahead of you.  I hope your senior year is everything you hope it to be, even with the uncertainty of the times we find ourselves in right now.  Hugs to you (because we couldn’t give them in person when we met).
