A personal post! What do photographers do for fun together? Naturally, take pictures! But not just any pictures. We know how to play well in the most gorgeous, beautifully lit, natural light studios in Colorado! Thanks to Lisa Craig Photography for setting up this event at Sugar Hill Studios in Longmont, Colorado. Six of us worked around each other taking turns photographing everyone, all at the same time! For the two hours we had the studio rental, we hustled! Time flew, we laughed, we embraced, and we felt like a sisterhood who really gets one another, regardless of that fact that we had only just met. We are part of the Denver Photo Betties and our motto is “community over competition” (I didn’t come up with that, but I love it).
I’ve been excited to share our experience, because, well, it was exciting, fun, unique, and I know my readers will love seeing not only behind the scenes (Lisa Craig Photography is to thank for those, edited by me), but also some of the finished products that came from my camera! We all achieved some wonderful, and beautiful images, and I loved seeing the shared images that were swapped after the session. How incredibly different each perspective was!
Since the session two weeks ago, I’ve been working to unveil my updated “About Me” and “Home” pages since the shoot. You won’t find the finished pictures of me on this post though. You’ll need to head over to my “About” page to check out the beautiful pictures OF ME taken by Rachel Schrepel, Wedding Photographer. The cropped image at the top of that page was taken by Jessica Jo Photo (edited by me), and if you want to take a peek at the full version, you can visit my “Homepage” because it was MY FAVORITE image of me taken that day and you’ll definitely want to see it (thanks, Jessica – I love it!!). The homepage seemed fitting for that one. Golly, I think it’s the first picture I’ve had of myself with my camera! Super special.
I better give a shout out to the other Jamie at Sunshine and Rain Photography as well as Donna over at Sweetin Photography. Every single one of you ladies was a joy to work with!
I’m sure you’re ready for me to wrap it up so that you can take a peek. Some of my favorite pictures that I snapped of each photographer that I mentioned to you above are at the end of this post. And clearly, I have a thing for mommy +me! I couldn’t choose only a few of those to show you. Oh well!
And that picture of the baby watching us! {so cute!}
