Miss H is gorgeous! She sways her strawberry hair in the sunlight as her eyes sparkle with anticipation of everything that is to come. She’s a high school senior! And she’s worked so hard to get here. We visited downtown Parker, Colorado together on a beautiful fall evening. The sun began to set as we wrapped up our session together, signifying the monumental moment in H’s high school career when she closes the chapter on this season of her life. H is studying diligently this year to earn her associates degree before she graduates. Yep, another one of my seniors with high ambition and admirable goals! She is the class of 2018 and many of these young people are college planning as they make campus visits and feel the pressure of making one of the biggest decisions they’ve made thus far in their lives. Before they know it, they will be ironing the cap and gown and walking with their graduating class to receive a hard earned piece of paper that represents four loooooong years of studies and learning. But it is only the beginning as life then becomes a platform of life long learning as they pursue all of their passions and interests. Go out and hug one of these seniors! About now they are feeling the pressure of school, growing up, jobs, college, financing, and wondering how they will make a stamp on this world. It’s a lot on their young shoulders. But I know H has determination and purpose beyond school alone. While it is the focus of these fleeting years, it isn’t everything and she will rise to the top as she follows everything God has called her to be. H, I hope this is a special year and that you enjoy your sneak peek that I’m so excited to reveal!
