Mama wanted spring blossoms, and although they are nearing their end, she got her wish! Can all my sessions be in spring, please?
It was last October when I was let in on a little secret: this family’s desire to have another baby. Lemons were on mom’s mind concerning her longing for a second child. So little Theo’s session with lemons was extra special. Take a look here. He’s grown so much since that precious lemon bath. This has been a sweet season of anticipation that mom will always hold very dear to her heart. And now they have gorgeous family pictures to capture these last weeks before baby girl (or boy?) arrives. Baby’s gender will be a surprise that you can all find out at his or her newborn session. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait!

Does Theo “get” that there’s a baby in your tummy?
We aren’t really sure! We talk about the baby in momma’s belly and read to it and give kisses but it’s unclear if he knows the baby will be joining us soon!
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We are so glad the weather is warming up and we can enjoy our backyard together again. Theo likes playing with his trucks and loading them up with rocks or hitting golf balls around with his putter.
What makes Theo laugh?
He is so silly and loves to sing! It’s usually how we know he’s awake in the morning, we hear him singing on the monitor. He is also very good at reenacting his favorite scenes from Toy Story!
What is one thing about this season of waiting for baby that you don’t want to forget?
Life is moving much faster during this pregnancy than the last one! This baby kicks and moves around a lot more than Theo ever did, so I use those moments as a reminder to take it all in before it’s over.
Considering that you don’t know if baby is a boy or girl, how are you preparing?
We just love the anticipation. We didn’t find out gender beforehand with Theo either. We have a gender neutral nursery and enough gender neutral outfits to get us through the early days. The rest will follow.
