She was carried by a surrogate, and anticipated with longing and love by her biological parents. I’m so honored to introduce you to little Maddison. Weighing in at eight pounds, she’s a good mix of healthy and strong with all the teeny-tininess to love and cradle that she could have. They weren’t in beautiful Colorado for this amazing life event–Maddison’s birth. Instead, they traveled to meet their beautiful baby girl, just a couple days after Christmas. Maddison slept like an angel for her newborn session so I couldn’t even tell you the color of her eyes! But I’m sure they’re beautiful, just like Maddison.

Tell me about the anticipation of her arrival.
After years of trying and several miscarriages, we were anxious about Maddison’s long-awaited arrival. However, our incredible surrogate helped ease our anxiety and made the pregnancy exciting for us. We also had the support of family and friends and lots of prayers along the way. As her due date drew nearer and our house began to fill up with all the baby girl things, we became more and more excited to meet her!
How was your delivery experience?
We were very fortunate to be in the delivery room to witness Maddison’s arrival on the morning of her due date. It was a quick, intense, natural delivery – we were in awe the entire time. I think we were all shocked that Maddison arrived so unexpectedly and quickly in the middle of the night.
What does adding Maddison to your family of three mean to you?
Maddison is the perfect answer to all of our prayers. We feel so blessed to have a new little life to love, and we can’t wait for all the adventures that we will have together as a family! Her arrival has also been such a blessing to all of our extended family, and Maddison is incredibly loved by all.

Maddison is so sweet and loves to be cuddled.
