Meet little Henry! Before his session, mom explained that he’d be born early because of pregnancy complications. This little peanut arrived early as expected (37 weeks) and had a few weeks to grow before I met him. No NICU stay, which they knew was a possibility. What a wonderful blessing! Now that they are settled in at home, it feels like sweet little Henry had always been part of their lives.
Here’s more from Mom!
Tell me about the anticipation of his arrival.
Given the complications throughout pregnancy, we were both nervous and so excited for his arrival. The timing of his arrival truly was a day by day question and so we were very ready for the uncertainty to end and to welcome him into our family.
How was your delivery experience?
The delivery itself was a beautiful and calm experience. P (my husband) was involved throughout the actual birthing process which added a truly intimate and beautiful element to the experience. There were a few scary moments throughout the induction process which made his smooth and healthy entry into the world all the more sweet.
What does adding Henry to your family of three mean to you?
We have always known we wanted a family and after the challenging pregnancy journey, we truly could not be more grateful to have a healthy baby boy. We are so excited to share the journey of parenthood together and watch Henry grow and develop each day.
Describe his personality.
So far, Henry seems calm, curious, and generally very content!
How much did he weigh at birth?
Henry weighed 5 pounds, 1 ounce at birth.
Congratulations Henry and family! I hope every day is treasured and Henry keeps up on the wonderful growth progress he’s been making.
