This girl lived in Cali for many years, but I grew up with her mom in Colorado. Meet Ashlyn! She’s going to blow your socks off. I’ve watched her from afar appear on TV shows and commercials and sing in musicals whenever a clip came across my social media feed over the years. She’s got talent and beauty! Ashlyn has been back in Colorado with her family for several years and will graduate from Mountain Vista High School in the spring. I’m tickled to have her here on the blog! Here’s a bit more about Ashlyn:
Tell me about your love for theatre and music.
I have loved theatre and music since I was two years old. I started doing theatre when I was three and did professional theatre in Colorado for a number of years before moving to California, where I was a professional television actress on several tv episodes, films and commercials. I have also been in choir at church and school from the time I was small, and I adore both musical theatre and choir to this day. Lastly, I love being part of the worship team at my church because I love using my gift of music to praise God.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after graduation?
I plan to attend Olivet Nazarene University after graduation in 2024. My ultimate dream is to help kids learn how to act and sing in different shows while teaching them the joy of musical theatre.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
Most of my favorite childhood memories revolve around Disneyland. While living in California we were blessed to have season passes to Disney and we would try to go at least once a week. From riding the rides and meeting characters to eating fun snacks and collecting Disney stuffed animals, Disneyland will always be so nostalgic for me because of the fun we had as a family growing up.
