Pop the champaign…this beauty is graduating college at ASU online Summa Cum Laude! Please join me in congratulating Megan!! She reached out wanting some pictures so she can surprise her parents with a graduation gift. What a touching session! She’s faced many challenges along the way, which makes her success just that much sweeter. She’s on her way to becoming a teacher!

Where did you attend school and what was your major?
I attended ASU with a bachelors in English.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be an English professor teaching YA Literature.
What advice would you give to someone just starting college?
One class at a time.
Tell me about why you wanted to do this for your parents as a surprise and what you’ll say to them when you give them these pictures.
I wanted to do this for them because I couldn’t have done it without them. I’ve been in college for far longer than I like to admit. Too long for my taste. But throughout the whole thing both my parents have been behind me supporting me in some way. Through every single low that I’ve hit in the last 5+ years they have always been there to pick up the pieces. They have read my text books to me, proof read papers, got me to class, and never missed a beat. When I give them the pictures I want to tell them that as much as I have done this for myself, I did it for them too. They deserve to see me finish school, and graduating Summa Cum Laude makes the success greater. I was never a great student in school so I know that I didn’t do this alone and never could have. They love pictures, and honestly have fought over photos for years. So I wanted to give them each something they could look at and remember our success.
