Meet McKenna! This talented young lady will impress you. She’s heading to college next year with a FULL RIDE gymnastics scholarship. I’m sure her family and friends couldn’t be more proud. She’ll be a senior this coming fall at Highlands Ranch High School, which is so exciting for McKenna! Here’s more about her:
Tell me about your desire to pursue D1 gymnastics in college.
I have accepted a full ride gymnastics scholarship to the University of Washington! It’s the perfect school, gymnastics program, and city for me. Go Dawgs!
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to study?
I am going to major in public health which will allow me to go to nursing school and become a pediatric or NICU nurse.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
Traveling around the country, being with my teammates and coaches, and competing for gymnastics are some of my greatest memories beginning at six years old.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
Enjoy the moment and spend time with my friends and family before I head to Seattle.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
That hard work will absolutely pay off and the adversity will make you stronger than you ever thought possible!!!
McKenna, you’re living the dreams of so many. It’s so great to not only see your hard work pay off but to watch it pave the road to your future that awaits! I hope you have a wonderful and memorable senior year!
