Tell me about wanting to study Constitutional law.
I’ve always thought that the ways we can differently interpret the Constitution is extremely interesting. I also think that in order to have a successful career in policy and legislation, one must have a rounded understanding of the Constitution, hence studying Constitutional law and its different interpretations.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
I want to go to college right away, but I’m hoping to travel a little bit the summer after I graduate!
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
One memory that comes to mind is when my brothers were super little and my grandparents used to watch us before school. My grandmother would be making fried potatoes for breakfast, and my brothers and I would gather around this old desktop and watch the same movie everyday before school.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I want feel successful! I have a major research project I’m working on for one of my classes, and by the end of the year I want to feel proud of what I created.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that the end of high school is not “forever away” and to do the stuff you want to do and not the stuff that you’re being pushed into doing because of peer pressure!
