Meet the wonderful Jordan! She’ll be a senior at Legend High School in the fall, and we’re celebrating this incredible milestone with her senior pictures. Jordan is a drum major (for marching band) and she wants to go into medical school so she can help people. What an admirable goal! Her older sister was a high school senior here a few years ago, and you may enjoy a look back at those. Here’s more about Jordan!
Tell me about being a drum major and wanting to go to medical school.
I love being a drum major. I’ve wanted to do it since about 4th grade and I worked my butt off for it. I cried with tears of joy when I got the position. I want to go to medical school to become a pediatrician or a geneticist. I want to help as many people as I can.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
I’d like to go college and become a doctor of some kind.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
One of my favorite memories as a kid was drawing giant chalk houses with my friends next door. We would spend hours drawing them. I also loved watching movies with my mom and gardening with my dad!
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I hope to give a speech at graduation. Hopefully it would inspire just one person to keep striving for what they want in high school.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
If you stress too much about something before it happens, it’s almost like you’re going through it twice.
