August 14, 2020 is the day that changed their world forever. On this day, baby Walker arrived as a little 6 pound, 3 ounce, 20.5 inch long peanut of pure, lovable, sweetness. He almost shared his daddy’s birthday, but decided to join his family a day early so that he could shine in the spotlight alone. Mom had more to share, which I know you’ll love hearing!
Describe your pregnancy.
Despite the majority of my pregnancy being during the pandemic, thankfully everything was normal and without major concerns. I was able to work up until the day he was born without morning sickness or significant aches and pains. Many things didn’t go according to planned with the quarantine, including a virtual gender reveal and my husband being banned from the majority of my prenatal appointments. Though the majority of the pregnancy was spent in a mask, I did honestly enjoy the whole experience, and I’m thankful for the amazing memories made during those nine months!
Tell me a little about the day he was born/your delivery.
We were originally due September 8 but Walker decided he was ready to make an appearance 3.5 weeks early on August 14. I woke up in the middle of the night when my water broke, and we immediately started throwing things in our hospital bag (which we hadn’t packed yet). After a little over 10 hours of labor, Walker made his debut at 11:10 AM at Parker Adventist. He was an early birthday present for his daddy who was born August 15!
What does adding Walker to your family of mean to you?
Walker has become the piece of our lives we didn’t even know we were missing. Everyday with him has been a new adventure, learning more about his personality and his needs everyday. Our hearts couldn’t be more full! Our dog, Tully, has been so gentle with him and loves to lick his toes every chance she gets!
Describe Walker’s personality.
Walker is the most relaxed and sleepy baby during the day but definitely has nights where he wants to stay up and spend extra time with mom and dad! He loves to snuggle and enjoys every feeding. He’s still warming up to tummy time and diaper changes. He has the most expressive face and lips while he’s sleeping!
K Family, thank you for the sweetest honor of helping to welcome little Walker to your family. Enjoy his sneak peek!
