Oh the stories they will tell! Sweet little Brexten joined his family at the very beginning of our Covid-19 days. The pandemic had only just begun, and officials were still in discussion about what should be done. So we postponed his session. It broke my heart, because I know they only stay newborn for so long. But for the safety of all, we complied. Mom and Dad were so gracious about it all, even thought they were disappointed. So I decided to offer a little something extra, for their wait. You may remember his porch session. If you didn’t see that one, it’s worth the click to take a look! So cute!
And now, so many weeks later, you can finally meet Brexten, and his adorable sister! You may remember her too. Precious little PJ (for short), was also a newborn featured on my blog over two years ago.
I image there is much intrigue about what a pandemic hospital stay is like, so continue reading before you scroll to those adorable baby pictures!
Describe your hospital experience during the Coivd-19 crisis.
I would describe our hospital stay as eerie. When we initially got to the hospital my husband and I got screened at the door before they would even let us in. I was only allowed one support person the entire stay so unfortunately our daughter P could not come to the hospital to meet her new baby brother. My husband was not allowed to leave the birthing center during certain hours or he would not be allowed back in. This all made our stay very quite and somewhat scary in that uncertain time, but I have to look back and be thankful because if I would have given birth a couple weeks later, my husband may not even of been able to be in the hospital with us.
What does adding Brexten to your family of mean to you?
With Brexten our family became complete! He has been our little rainbow of hope in many uncertain times. We are so blessed God sent him to us!
Describe Brexten’s personality
Brexten is very laid back and very snuggly. He loves to be rocked and cuddled and loves to hear his big sister’s voice.
How does big sister like her new baby brother?
P is so in love with her baby brother. She loves to lay by him, and read and sing to him. She even helps us change his diapers! She doesn’t ever want to go anywhere without him, and always makes sure to hug and kiss him goodnight!
Wishing your family all the best! Thank you for the honor of being a part of your family in such special ways!
