There’s a love that is born at the arrival of a new life. Some may call it love at first sight, but I think it’s awakened long before birth. Yet it’s at that very moment when it explodes into a billion feelings never experienced before. The older my own children become, I realize that it is a love that never changes. It stands the test of time, and somehow, if it is even possible, grows deeper.
Meet Baby Stina! She’s is a beautiful baby girl who has stolen the hearts of her family. Weighing in at 9lb 5oz, she came a tad past her due date. All good things are worth waiting for, and I think Mom and Dad would agree that she was worth the wait. Mom had a few more things to share about Stina.
Describe your pregnancy.
I had a fairly easy pregnancy – while I experienced most of the typical pregnancy symptoms, they were all mild. There were signs she might arrive early so I was expecting her around the 38 week mark, but then she decided to hang in there and was born 4 days late.
Tell me a little about the day she was born.
I delivered at SkyRidge Hospital. My water broke early on a Wednesday and after 39 hours of labor with limited progression, she started to show signs of distress and I delivered by C-section on Thursday night.
What does adding Stina to your family mean to you?
Brandon and I have been married for nearly ten years and we’re excited to start this new chapter as a family of three. We have a lot of great memories as just the two of us, but can’t wait to make new ones with her.
Describe her personality.
So far, Stina is a happy baby, assuming she is fed and dry. She loves to be held, hates the swaddle and is starting to take notice of different people.
If you’re expecting, I’d love to chat about an in home newborn photography session! Visit my newborn page here for more information. Baby Stina and family, it is a joy to help celebrate this joyous occasion, and to capture those sweet cheeks while they are still so fresh. Enjoy these precious firsts with Stina and your sneak peek!
