I adore this family and it’s such a privilege to visit their home and see all of their past photography sessions adorning their walls. If you don’t remember it, here is last year’s sneak peek. I joked with mom that they needed their recent move so that they could have more wall space for their gorgeous pictures. All kidding aside, their new home is beautiful and we stepped just outside their backyard in Aurora, Colorado into the glistening sunlight and among the beautiful Pine Trees for this stunning backdrop.
Tell me about the history of this gorgeous property! Did it used to be farmland, or maybe a ranch of some kind?
Not sure exactly, but yes, the land was owned as a singles parcel. From the satellite pics I could find there was a main house and what looked like a barn closer to the corner of Smoky Hill and Aurora Pkwy.
What does your family of four enjoy doing together?
We love to travel – and eat out! One of our most recent fun things is finding all the Sprinkles cupcakes locations in whatever city we are visiting. They have the best cupcakes, including gluten free for me and vegan for J!
What makes you guys laugh?
Each other. We tend to pick on A (dad) quite a bit, but all in love. We each have our own little quirks that the others never hesitate to point out!
What is the best family vacation you ever took?
The last one was pretty cool – Vegas, LA and Catalina Island. For J’s birthday we went to NYC, saw a broadway show and all the sites. Israel is always amazing. I like to pretend we are always on vacation! We make a big deal about us all having time off at the same time, and try to do something together that makes it extra fun, even if its just sitting on the couch and watching a movie together!
Describe what your family means to you.
We are a pretty tight knit crew! A and I are so proud of the kids, and can’t wait to see how God leads and guides them as they grow into adults. Just enjoying this season of having them as young adults still in our home.
