She couldn’t have been cuter 6 months ago, and somehow we managed to top her gorgeous sitter session. This is Isabella, Izzy for short! She just turned turned one! Happy birthday, Izzy!! Her favorite place in this big world is with mom and nothing makes her happier than to be with her. It is her comfort and security. But she also loves water and splashing, so her fruit bath was one of the session’s highlights to Izzy! Here’s more about his darling girl.
What milestones has she recently accomplished?
Isabella has had a busy 6 months growing. She is now officially a walking toddler! She was taking a few steps on her own and almost overnight she mastered taking smaller step and going longer distances. She’s now quickly walking everywhere. Izzy said her first words which were Dada, Mama, hi, and un-oh. She now says Mommy and it’s the most amazing sound to my ears!
What has changed in the last 6 months since her sitter session?
She is a Mommy’s girl. She loves her Daddy and others, but if she isn’t exploring by foot she wants to be in Mommy’s arms. I know this phase is short so I’m enjoying all the special snuggles and know that a favorite human can change quickly. How she communicates with the world has changed too. She is sometimes reserved and observant and other times vocal at letting you know what she likes or doesn’t like. One thing has remained the same; she is still the sweetest snuggler.
What are some of her favorite things?
She loves climbing our stairs, exploring kitchen cabinets, playing in her pink play kitchen and food truck, playing with her sister, loving on the dogs, bath time, and cuddles. She also loves locking me out of my mobile phone, playing with the remote control, and playing with Daddy’s reading glasses.
What is one thing you don’t want to forget about this stage?
Some people are of the opinion that this stage of life is hard. For me, this stage is the best and it’s going by way too fast. Isabella is my last baby so having hit the 1 year milestone is especially bittersweet. This saying is so true: The days are long but the years are short. I do not wish time to move any faster than it has to and I’m soaking every moment in.
