They are princesses and a queen in their tutus!  There are few things more beautiful than the love between a mom and her daughters.  Meet B, G, and I!  I’m beyond delighted to see them session after session, and to help preserve these years that go by so quickly.  What an honor!  You can’t help but feel mom’s deep love for her girls in what she had to share for my blog and their sneak peek.

Tell me about your two girls.

G is 3 years young.  She is smart, sweet, silly, and very outgoing. She loves dancing, singing, playing with barbies, and dressing up like Disney princesses. She is a Thespian at heart! She loves learning and moving at the speed of light. G was promoted to big sister a year ago and is doing an amazing job. She refers to her sister lovingly as “my Misabella” which is the sweetest.  G made me a mother. She taught me what being a Mommy was all about and she is still my greatest teacher.

I is 13 months young.  She is walking everywhere and curious about her world.  She has the sweetest demeanor and is my 29-inches-20 pounds-petite-peanut. She loves to be loved on and snuggled by her Mommy.  I is more reserved, but through interaction with her sister I can tell she is a little firecracker.  I showed me it is possible to love more than I ever thought I could.  Although I always said I wanted healthy babies and didn’t prefer girl over boy, I’m so happy I was made a Mommy of two beautiful girls.  I now have 2 pieces of my heart forever walking outside of my body.

What do you enjoy doing together?

Simply being together is what we enjoy the most.  The days can be hectic with school, work, appointments, and errands.  We live for the time we get to spend together during the weekends. Besides playing and visiting the park, we enjoy exploring and making new memories.  This fall we have a list of things we want to do like visit Anderson Farms, make pumpkin bread, and create Autumn arts and crafts.  We love to travel too.  Recently, Hurricane Dorian made us update our travel plans and we decided instead of flying we would drive to Florida. The girls did fantastic on their first long road trip to see family, celebrate I’s first birthday, and visit Disney World for the 1st time.

What makes your sweet girls laugh?

I have two ticklish girls so physically getting them to laugh is pretty easy.  Playing with them by chasing them, playing peek-a-boo, and interacting with funny voices can get deep belly laughs too.  It’s fun to sit back and watch the girls play with one another and giggle.

Tell me what it’s like to be mom to them.

Being their Mom is the best gift and an absolute privilege. They have made me a better person.  I don’t take the job lightly knowing I have a huge lasting impact on how they will interact with the world, which is both fantastic and scary.  I want to be sure I’m raising two girls that stay true to themselves, use their voice when needed, look beyond appearances, and know they were truly loved. Being a Mom to them means missing them when they are not around me.  They are so much of who I am and of my heart that it’s impossible to imagine what my life would have been like without them.  Being their Mom is the BEST!
