This beautiful baby girl has stolen the hearts of her family. Meet Isabella! She also goes by Izzy. You may recognize her from the family session we did last year. Well, she’s now three months older and her family welcomed me into their beautiful new home to celebrate her 6 month milestone with a sitter session. Mom took a few moments to tell me more about Izzy.
What makes Izzy smile?
She is such a happy baby that we always seem to catch a glimpse of that beautiful gummy grin. She smiles when she wakes up and sees a familiar face. Her big sister, Giana, makes her giggle and grin from ear to ear just being silly. She is at a really fun stage where playing with her can quickly bring on a smile. She is also very ticklish so it’s fun to delight her in deep baby belly laughs and smiles.
What are some of her favorite things to do?
Izzy adores her sister so any interaction with Giana would be a favorite. She loves being held, snuggled, and rocked. She enjoys playing with toys, being read to, and being carried in her Baby Bjorn. Isabella loves bath time and splashing around, too.
How has her personality changed in these short six months?
Isabella was born during a very hectic time for our family. We were trying to sell our house and move into our new home during the time we expected her arrival. As stressful as things were for our family, Isabella was always so calm and was a go with the flow baby. She slept well. She took to nursing without a hitch. She was extremely tranquil. And, she was simply happy. All of these qualities still remain, but she is finding her voice. It will be fun to see how her personality continues to evolve.
Describe her place in your family of four.
We knew that we wanted another child and a sibling for Giana. Izzy is the final addition which makes her the baby of the family. She is our uncomplicated, easy going, fun-loving last born.
What milestones has she recently accomplished?
Isabella started sitting on her own around 5 1/2 months. She is now a chatty baby and talks to us in the sweetest voice with babble. Just this week, Izzy is now eating solids with pears being one of her first fruits.
What is one thing you don’t want to forget about this stage she is in right now?
I don’t want to forget anything about this stage. I don’t want to forget the way it feels to hold her while she sleeps instead of laying her back down in her crib. I don’t want to forget her sweet smell or the softness of her cheeks when I kiss them. I don’t want to forget her beautiful smile or her expressive eyes. I don’t want to forget how she just wants to be held and have our attention. I don’t want to forget what a sweet, happy, and loving baby she is. I’m trying to remain present and not blink.
