Douglas County High School Senior Pictures | Anna

Meet the adorable Anna!  Her beauty radiated as she rocked her senior portrait session.  Her mom told me that Anna doesn’t take a bad picture.  Yeah, no kidding!  Not only is she a beauty, but she is an amazing person too!  Anna loves Taekwondo, working with kids, and doing community service.  I love that she’s open to where her future takes her, and she works incredible hard at her passions (ummm… she’s a certified first degree black belt!).  Here’s more!

What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about many things. I like to work with with kids, be involved in the community. I like to connect to people (although that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate my alone time when I get it).

Tell me about your interest in Taekwondo and how far you’ve made it.

I am currently a first degree black belt. I’ve been doing Taekwondo for 4 years now. And a common misconception is that once you get your black belt, you’re done. But black belt is where the fun actually starts. I started doing Taekwondo, not for any real reason. I just woke up one day and said, “I’m going to take martial arts lessons today,” and I’ve loved it ever since.

Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?

To be honest, I don’t think it’s entirely fair that at around 18 years old I need to have a plan for my entire adult life. I suppose the current plan is to go for a general business degree, because no matter what profession you choose, there’s always a business aspect to it. But hopefully from there, I can find out what I’d be happy doing with my career.

What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

My favorite childhood memories have to come from Amelia Island and days spent on the beach with my family.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

To get through the IB program in one piece.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Don’t stress out so much. You’re doing just fine.

Anna and family, I hope each day of this year is filled with heart warming memories of such a special time in your life.  You will do amazing things, and I’m super honored to be a small part of your senior year.
