Family Pictures in Nature | Parker, Colorado Photographer

Meet the S Family!  I couldn’t be more excited to give them this sneak peek.  We met up on an early summer morning to beat evening rain showers.  The air was perfectly warm and pleasant, and the bugs that are normally out by the creek must have still been asleep because they didn’t bother us at all.  I photographed Emmett first when he was only days old.  Check out how tiny he was here… even for an 9+ pound baby he looks tiny compared to now.  At almost one he’s walking around and looking like quite the handsome little man!  This family is moving back to France this month, but I hope it’s not the last time I get to photograph them.  I will definitely want to keep watching sweet Emmitt grow!

What is it like to be a parents to Emmett?

Being Emmett’s dad is the coolest experience. I love having a little buddy that I can blabber on and on with, and show all the cool stuff that has brought me joy. It has been a marvel watching him develop and seeing his personality emerge. From Mom’s point of view, it is heartwarming to see how much he trusts us and loves us, and the way he watches what we do with awe. It is great that we have a little guy that is just as happy cuddling with Mom as he is playing with Dad.

What are you most looking forward to as you move back to France?

Our family is really excited for the new adventure that awaits us. We get to discover a new city, new friends, new careers, and get to find our next “favorite places”. The Alps will be as close as the Rockies are here, so we will definitely continue wearing down our hiking boots. Aside from that, we look forward to seeing old friends and visiting more of France and Europe bit by bit.

What will you miss most about the U.S.?

Santiagos green chili!

S Family, I hope your move is incredible and that raising your family in France is everything you expect it to be and so much more!  It will be sad seeing you leave, but I’d be honored for you to reach out in the future when you come back to visit.
