Their long wait made the moment she joined their family joyful and sweet! Meet Madeline (Maddie) and her adoring parents. She was a petite five pounds, six ounces with gigantic love to give. Here’s more about Madeline!
Describe your pregnancy.
My pregnancy was really pretty normal and somewhat easy. While I had all of the typical complaints…morning sickness, heartburn and exhaustion, overall I felt pretty good and there were no complications. This was certainly a blessing as we’d gone through some difficulties getting pregnant in the first place. Thankfully, the nursery was ready since Baby decided to make her appearance three weeks ahead of schedule.
Tell me a little about the day she was born.
My water broke at 10:30 at night but I wasn’t sure if that’s what had actually happened since it wasn’t nearly as dramatic as the movies show. After a call to the doctor confirming, we headed to Sky Ridge. After admission and triage, we got settled into our labor and delivery room. At this point, I still hadn’t started having contractions, so they scheduled induction for 5 in the morning. Once that got rolling, we had a lot of stops and starts because baby’s heart rate kept fluctuating. I finally reached 10cm dilation at 2:30 and we started pushing. Our beautiful baby Madeline finally made her appearance at 6:44 pm, making us infinitely happy.
What does adding Madeline to your family of mean to you?
The addition of little Madeline to our family as our first child, after so many issues, has been truly amazing. We’re so excited to see her grow and flourish.
Describe her personality.
Little Maddie is a full of cute expressions and squeaks , when she’s not sleeping….which is all the time. Currently she’s pretty easy to please, as long as she gets her milk.
