What began twenty years ago has now blossomed into a beautiful love story and a family of four. Meet the S Family! They met while working in a popular bar and grill. The years have grown them together as a couple as they navigated many of life’s curve balls. Mom says, “We really are best friends and partners in this journey of life. I still get butterflies and feel very lucky. Seeing M (dad) with the girls made me fall in love with him more deeply. He is the best husband and father for this family of ladies!”
How old are your girls?
G is 2 years and I is 3 months.
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We live in a beautiful state and love to take advantage of it including visiting the various parks. We also love taking the girls to different events to make family memories. We recently took G and I to see Disney on Ice; G loved it. Now that it is the holiday season we will be checking out Christmas lights at the Botanical Gardens. M and I did a lot of travel before the girls and promised to keep that tradition going; we want them to see and experience different places. We’ve always placed an emphasis on experiences over material objects. G has been to California, New Mexico, Florida, and many Caribbean islands. We also enjoy our downtime at home cooking, watching movies, and playing with the girls.
Describe G and I’s personalities
G is sweet and sassy. She is high energy and keeps us on our toes. She was the happiest baby and still shows a smile frequently. She is kind and learning to be a good human. As independent as she is, she still loves to be loved and snuggled which we are taking advantage of while she will let us. I is a peaceful and calm baby. She is sweet, has such expressive eyes, and shows a grin that will melt your heart.
How long has it been since you moved here from Florida?
We moved to Colorado in 2009. It’s one of the best decisions we made.
Describe what adding G and I to your family means to you.
Wow, I’m a wave of emotional tears just thinking about the joy they have brought us. We waited until later in life to start our family and although at times we regret not starting our family sooner, we also know that our path is unique and the timing was meant to be. Not a day goes by that I don’t look into their eyes and realize they were heaven sent and I am the luckiest mommy.
