This is the beautiful Katie! I love this girl. She knows what she wants, and she works hard to put everything in order to get there. In between her busy summer schedule and traveling plans, she took time out to meet up with me to commemorate the beginning of her senior year. She has her sights set on becoming a lawyer, which impresses me. Here’s more about Katie!
Tell me about your love for choir and how long you’ve been singing.
I just love to sing. I have been singing for as long as I can remember! I have always been in choir through school, but I really found my passion for it when I got to high school. Legend truly has an amazing choir program! With our amazing director and large choirs I have excelled beyond my highest dreams. I found myself working my way up through the choirs until I reached the top! I am involved in Choir Council and I have gone on all of the trips that we have the opportunity to take. These trips advance our choral progress and give us the chance to preform outside of the traditional setting, and we get to travel to some pretty awesome places. We have been to Branson Missouri and Disney Land, and next year we get to go to Hawaii! I have truly found where I belong, because I love it so much! I look forward to the class everyday and I love every minute that we get to sing!
What things are you passionate about?
I am passionate about spreading kindness and working hard for the things that we want. I believe that we are nothing if we are not kind. I also believe that without hardworking we will accomplish nothing. I have worked hard for all of my accomplishments whether they are in music or school. I always give 110% in all that I do and that has lead me to the many opportunities that I have had the chance to be a part of!
Do you have any thoughts on where you would like to go to college and what you want to study?
At the moment I am looking at attending CU. I love their campus, school spirit, abundance of activities, and my friends that attend there currently! I am not sure what I will study for my undergraduate degree, but I know that I would like to pursue law.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
My favorite childhood memory was when we went to Destin beach when I was 5. We swam in the ocean, saw dolphins, and walked on the beach! This is one vacation that has really stayed with me through the years because we had so much fun!
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I hope to keep up with all of my classes while enjoying my senior year! I am taking challenging classes so I want to really make the most of them and learn all I can, but I also want to have fun and participate in all of the fun activities that come with high school and my senior year!
I learn so much from the ambition of these young adults. I love Katie’s passion and enthusiasm. She is charming and going to make an excellent lawyer if that is the direction she goes. Katie, best wishes to a fantastic senior year! I hope it’s everything you dreamed.
