Would you double up on classes to graduate high school early? Meet M! She’s a doll, and I’m so proud of her. Midway through her Junior year she realized she would be able to graduate ahead of her class with a little hard work and some sacrifice. She decided to go for it! I was glad for her sake that none of the “doubling up” was for those more time consuming classes like science and math! Whew! I don’t know many who would want to endure that. <wink>
Of course M’s graduating year would not be complete without senior pictures. So we met up in the spring to officially celebrate her accomplishments and document the occasion with a senior portrait session! I just adore M and these beautiful pictures. She was stunning as we enjoyed the beauty of the location she chose, and celebrated her!
Just about now the last bell will ring in the senior halls and school will dismiss one last time. I get pretty sappy whenever a chapter of life closes like high school graduation. The emotion rises as reflection is made. Time goes by so quickly and much of the emotion I feel is that the tiny baby that would “never” grow up is all the sudden on the brink of adulthood. They’ve made it, and there is so much pride that has been rightfully earned by the students themselves, and everyone that knows and loves them.
I think a Haiku is in order. I used to work with a woman who wrote a Haiku for every occasion. What a wonderful way to reflect!
Years gone by so fast
Wishing it didn’t have to be
Treasure the time you have
M, I hope the completion of your high school journey has been wonderful, and everything you hoped. When you walk down the ceremonial isle in your cap and gown at the call of your name, I hope you receive that diploma with pride! You deserve it. Enjoy your sneak peek!
