It was a beautiful summer evening when they met. Love often turns up unexpectedly, which was the case for this sweet couple who just welcomed their first baby boy into their lives on May ninth, two thousand and eighteen. They named their beautiful baby, Cru James. He was born at Parker Adventist Hospital and weighted six pounds, fourteen and a half ounces.
How did you and your husband meet?
One summer evening I had dinner with a friend at the Macaroni Grill. P happened to be our server that night. Finding him quite attractive, I left my phone number on the tab. A week later P had called me and we went out for drinks… the rest is history.
How was your pregnancy?
The beginning of my pregnancy was very difficult; I had extreme morning sickness up until my third trimester. However, my third trimester was enjoyable and I was quite comfortable.
Describe your delivery day.
The morning of May ninth was very hot! I had my thirty seventh week doctor appointment that day. While at the doctor, I was told that I was five cm dilated; I was completely unaware that I was even in labor! After the doctor telling me that I needed to head to the hospital, both P and I had the look of disbelief on our face as Cru was not due until the twenty-forth. We arrived at the hospital around noon and Cru was born later that night at 11:34 pm. He was ready to enter the world early.
What was it like meeting Cru for the first time?
Surreal! Instant love! He was more than what I even thought of; absolutely beautiful!
What is Cru’s personality like?
He is very calm and inquisitive.
Is being a mom any different than you imagined?
Yes! I worry about every little thing now.
What is hardest and the best thing about bringing home a newborn?
The hardest thing so far has been the sleepless nights. The best thing has been becoming a mom and introducing Cru to our family and friends.
Congratulations to this beautiful family of three. May the sleepless nights go by quickly as you treasure every single moment. Enjoy your sneak peek!
