Meet the family, the WHOLE family! This sweet bunch is originally from the Denver area, Greenwood Village to be exact. A few of them have stayed here, and a few live as far as Chicago, Manhattan, Aspen, Oslo and Stockholm. The short time I got to spend them made me appreciate their love and bond.
Grandma R rightly belongs at the center. Her four grown children all have spouses and families of their own. I asked her to tell me a little bit about her family. I think you will enjoy her responses as much as I did!
Me: What did you enjoy doing together as a family back when your children were young?
R: We went to a big family dinner every Sunday night with extended family. We had fun and games with cousins.
M: What do you enjoy doing together as a family now?
R: We enjoy Sunday dinners together and holidays. This year was exceptional. We did singing, dancing, skits, videos, laughing and love.
Me: What makes you all laugh together?
R: I think we all have a great sense of humor and we play off of each other. We are more prone to that than discussions.
Me: How often do you see one another?
R: All together as one, not often enough. Me, I see everyone a little more often.
Me: What does your family mean to you?
R: They are my life; nothing is more important. As Jackie Kennedy said, “They are my best work.”
Without further ado, here is the sneak peek the entire bunch of fourteen have been waiting for. It speaks of love, laughter, fun, togetherness and the sweetness that comes from being a family. No matter where life takes you, family will always be there. There are good times, there are hard times, but at the end of the day it is what really matters. Grandma R’s best work!
