Guess what this family unwrapped as an early Christmas gift!?  Perhaps the sweetest session I’ve done all year, and definitely the cutest!  Meet eight week old, Kilo!!  He’s adored by three beautiful girls (my nieces) and not-so-adored (yet) by Gracie and Bella, the family’s older two dogs.  This thirteen pound English Bull Mastiff puppy will soon grow into a roughly one hundred and twenty pound dog, or bigger, if you can believe that.  Before he’s too big to carry, I met up with the G Family to get the most adorable pictures!   Here’s a peek into their new life with Kilo.

Where did Kilo get his name?

We wanted a big strong name for this soon to be big dog.  Nothing fit. Till one day Daddy S said Kilo (like kilogram for weight lifting) and it was perfect!

Why did you choose him?

Daddy S has always wanted a big dog. Friends were selling them and he had to have him. He chose him because he was the biggest!

Describe his personality.

Very chill. And super duper sweet!

What was it like the first day you brought him home?

We were smitten within minutes! We couldn’t keep our hands off him.

Describe Gracie’s personality.

We call Gracie grandma!  She’s an old lady with a stubborn personality. But she is the sweetest and a lover.

Describe Bella’s personality.

Bella has a very tender heart. Look at her funny when she’s in trouble and she gets sad. She is also a lover. We joke that we only raise drama queens in this house.

What did the girls do when you brought him home?

Couldn’t keep their hands off!  T (the youngest) wants to carry him everywhere!  We are letting her now because it won’t be long before she won’t be able to.

Tell me your cute stories of the first days having Kilo.

I took him for a walk and he just sat down. Of course it was so cute. So I took the leash off and he walked right next to me the whole time!  Melt my heart. And watching him try to do stairs for the first time was adorable. He’s stolen our hearts!

G Family, thanks for letting me be a part of welcoming Kilo to the family.  He’s going to steal the hearts of just a few others when they see him!   Enjoy your sneak peek!!
