Leaving behind familiar routines, they’re still settling into life here after a recent move from California. It’s been a season of change for the K family, but one thing is easy to see—little Layla brings them so much joy. I loved watching the way they interacted with her and with one another throughout the session. Grandma joined us too, and I especially love the photo of three generations together—Layla, her mom, and her grandma. There was so much genuine laughter that evening, the kind that wasn’t prompted by me at all. And Layla seemed perfectly happy to be the center of attention the entire time.

How old is Layla?
8 months old
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We love to walk to downtown Parker and enjoy a nice meal outside on a patio and enjoy the weather. We definitely love being outdoors and cannot wait to bring Layla camping and hiking as she gets older! We also love a good game night in.
What makes you guys laugh together?
Just being with each other. Brian is a really funny guy, so he always has me and Layla laughing!
What is one thing about this season of life that you don’t want to forget?
We moved from California so Brian could pursue an amazing job opportunity and it was a really hard transition with Layla being born, me quitting my job, and moving to a new state. One thing I don’t want to forget is how resilient we’ve been through this entire process and that we have each other.
Describe what your family means to you.
My family means everything to me. Layla has been a joyful addition to our family and I am so, so grateful that we have each other and can experience life together.
