If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember little Theo’s two-year session—where lemons quietly symbolized his mama’s longing to grow their family. It was subtle. Hopeful. A nod to what was still just a desire tucked in her heart.
That longing became a growing baby bump—beautifully celebrated during their spring maternity session. Now, that hope has arrived in their arms.
Meet Elliot.
And yes, there were lemons. In one of my favorite images, Theo is snuggled up beside his brand-new baby brother. He’s wearing a lemon shirt, while Elliot is wrapped in a lemon swaddle. This session felt like a full-circle moment—the kind of quiet, personal celebration that only makes sense when you’ve lived the whole story.
The adorable elephant bookshelf in the nursery has its own story to tell. It’s more than decor. Years ago, before children, they got engaged at a fundraising event for an elephant orphanage Mama had visited in Kenya. Not long after, as newlyweds, they made a bold decision to purchase the elephant bookshelf—not because they needed it then, but because they believed children would one day fill their home. That same bookshelf now sits in Theo and Elliot’s shared nursery, anchoring a room filled with books, stuffed animals, and the everyday magic of brotherhood. It’s where Theo sits and flips the pages of a story he’s sharing with his new brother. A hope once imagined, now fully part of their daily rhythm.
The session itself was filled with softness—neutral tones, cozy textures, and warm light pouring through their windows. We followed the quiet flow of the morning, giving space for snuggles, big brother giggles, and the gentle reality of a home that’s just grown in size—and heart.
On a bed piled high with pillows, they shared loving glances and quiet embraces, the kind you don’t forget. These two are incredible parents—equal parts strength, nurture, and delight.
Stories worth telling always include the way we feel. And this family? They are feeling it all: the joy, the stretch, the fullness. More love than before.
The kind you never really run out of.
