When journalist Sarah Ford from RedFin asked if I would share my thoughts on some unique things to do in Aurora, CO, I was thrilled to highlight two of my favorite outdoor activities in this beautiful, nearby city. Both experiences showcase the natural beauty of Aurora and reflect where I like to spend my time–outdoors! The first suggestion on the list may surprise you. The second is a dead giveaway–you’ll probably be thinking, “She’s a photographer; I knew she was going to say that!”
1. Exploring the Aurora Reservoir
The Aurora Reservoir is a gem for anyone who loves the outdoors. It offers something for everyone. Whether it’s kayaking across the calm waters or taking a leisurely walk or bike ride on the paved path around the water, the reservoir never fails to provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. For families, there’s a designated swim beach perfect for kids to splash around, and the picnic areas make for a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with a view.
2. A Family Photography Session with Me!
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, capturing your family with an outdoor photography session in Aurora would be a memorable experience with a beautiful backdrop. Together we could visit a local historic site, a well preserved natural open space, or a peaceful creek to tell your family’s unique story. We’ll capture your children’s laughter and your special connection to be preserved and enjoyed always!
Check out Sarah’s article at the Redfin blog to get even more ideas of unique things you can do in Aurora, CO!
