It’s family picture season and the beauty of the state (yay for Colorado) many of us call home is such a beautiful backdrop! I adore the C Family’s session on an early October evening when we met. The breeze rustling the trees is beginning to cool a bit, but the air temperatures are still warm enough to be outdoors without a jacket, and oh so and inviting. This family plays volleyball together, and I love that!
Here’s more about this adorable crew!
How old are your kiddos?
They are eleven but twelve very soon!) and thirteen.
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We love playing volleyball together (we coach their recreational team currently), eating dinner together and catching up, family games, and movie nights.
What makes you guys laugh together?
Bodily function noises being blamed on inanimate objects, family inside jokes (“Dad, the Ovaltine is not working” *attempting to stir in water*), and teenage boy voice cracks during conversation.
What is one thing about this season of life that you don’t want to forget?
COVID really slowed us down and allowed us to focus on things that matter and time together. The kids are turning into little adults before our eyes, which is so fun, and they also still want to hang out with us – for now. We are trying to hang on to that for as long as they will let us before they become “too cool.”
Describe what family means to you.
Family is unconditional love and support for each other with a lot of laughing at the silly stuff and a little bit of tough love. It’s constantly learning together both as kids and as parents. Just when we get a stage figured out they’ve moved on to the next one. Each stage gets better and is more fun but also has new challenges.
C Family, what a honor to capture these fleeting years, and to be able to reveal this amazing sneak peek. Enjoy!
