Meet Brendan! He’s an amazing guy with a very smart mind. He’s also willing to work hard, which makes him the perfect candidate for a future career in engineering. We found out that he and my son went to the same STEM middle school, and even had the same 7th grade teacher, but we never knew each other until now! So fun! Brendan is also a tennis player, part of link crew, honor societies, and president of Spanish Honor Society at school.
Here’s more from Brendan!
Tell me about why you’re considering a career in engineering.
I have always liked building / putting things together. I have enjoyed all of my STEM classes, especially engineering. Taking a problem and solving or building a solution is fun!
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
After graduation, I’m hoping to attend a STEM college and study Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science or Spanish.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are family dinners with my Papa (grandfather) every Sunday and playing board games with my family and grandmother when she is in town.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I hope to have my best year yet! I am looking forward to enjoying my last year of high school especially since the last year and a half looked very different.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
I would tell myself to read more!
Brendan and family, congratulations on getting here. I hope this year is everything you’re planning for it to be. Can’t wait to see how far you go!
