Seen pounds, one ounce of little princess was born on January 7 to these adoring parents who waited, waited, and waited for their little girl. I told mom, all new life is a blessing, but there is an extra special appreciation when the heart aches longer than you would have liked.
Meet Makenna! She was worth every bit of their wait, and now that she’s here, they can’t imagine life without her. I think that sums up what it should be like perfectly.
Here’s more from Mom!
Tell me about the anticipation of Makenna’s arrival.
We were very excited and nervous as our journey to have her was long. She is our first born after our first attempt at IVF was unsuccessful. This created a very surreal feeling for us because we had been working so hard and so long for her and it was finally happening. We felt truly fortunate and blessed that she was on her way.
How was your delivery experience?
It was long and short at the same time. We had amazing nurses that helped along the way. Once she was born, we completely forgot about how long the delivery process took.
What does adding Makenna to your family of three mean to you?
That all our hopes and dreams came true. We have only had her for a short time but cannot imagine our lives without her. She has filled a space in our lives we didn’t even know existed.
Describe her personality.
We are still discovering what her personality will become. So far she is pretty laid back, likes to make funny faces, and likes to shoot her legs and arms out randomly. We find it adorable. We have a sneaking suspicion that she may be a Denver Broncos fan!
M Family, an extra special congratulations to you. Makenna is the sweetest, and I hope the long nights are filled with extra snuggles and the days are filled with so much joy.
