{Sisters!} Extended Family Photography in Littleton, Colorado

Their shared childhood gives them a special bond that can be matched by no other relationships in quite the same way.  They are sisters.  They are friends.  They are grown and now have families of their own.  I had the honor of being a part of these special, combined, extended family pictures that will be cherished for generations!  Their names are S & E and E told me a little bit about their families.

Describe the relationship you have with your sister.

My sister is one of the most amazing people I have ever met.  We battled and squabbled as kids like most do, but as adults, we are fiercely loyal to each other, we always have each other’s back, and we will always be on the same team.  It’s such a cliché to say “sisters are forever”, but it’s true.

What do your families enjoy doing together?

Family vacations!  Getting away from everyday stresses.  The very day of this photo shoot, we booked a camping trip to Buena Vista with hiking and whitewater rafting — can’t wait!

How often do you get to see one another?

Usually about once a month, but the pandemic has made that more challenging.  The silver lining to the families not seeing each other in person is that the cousins have been in constant communication with each other, and their relationships have strengthened and deepened in a way that could never have happened without this weird situation.

What makes you all laugh?

These kids are not afraid to get crazy!  The creativity and silliness is in full force when they get together.  Ever since they were little, whenever they get together, they write and perform plays, make up dances, dress up, sing karaoke, and get to be their wacky silly selves.

Describe what makes the cousins’ relationship so special.

Our kids are not only close in age and location, but in the age of cell phones and especially with crazy pandemic times, they have become something beyond just “cousins”; they have become really close friends.  They have connected with each other and support each other through this strange new norm in a way that I never expected, and it is marvelous.

Thank you, S & E and to your families for this privilege.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
