Baby Rudy is back! It doesn’t seem that long ago he was swaddled as a newborn. Now he’s sitting proudly on his own, and because Rudy is a Baby Plan member, he gets a sitter session and a one year session to remember some of the sweetest milestones of his first year.
Rudy’s session is the first of many Baby Plan members, I hope, to get a few sweet details documented of those cherished baby days. The precious blue booties we photographed were from a family trip to Switzerland, to which Rudy’s parents weren’t able to go because of the most exciting reason EVER! Rudy was on the way! So they were given a precious memento from those who went: booties!
Some of Rudy’s tiny clothes, his Bibs pacifiers, and his precious nursery, will carry the sweetest memories as he grows. I think it’s so special that now Rudy’s Mom and Dad will never forget the way they looked.
What makes Rudy smile?
Rudy smiles every time he sees Mommy or Daddy in the morning, when we get him up from naptime or when we pick him up from daycare. He also has a huge grin every time he sees himself in the mirror.
What are some of his favorite things to do?
Rudy LOVES to eat! He loves every single variety of solid food we have given him so far and he gets so excited every time we put him in his high chair. He also loves singing and dancing – his favorite song right now is “Jesus Loves Me.” He also loves to be in the carrier or stroller and go on adventures with Mom and Dad and quietly take in his surroundings. Rudy also loves bathtime and recently discovered the art of splashing!
How has his personality changed in these short seven months?
Rudy is a super chill baby, but I think he is definitely becoming more assertive and finding his voice. He is letting us know when he is not happy, but he is also so much more animated and excited when he is happy!
Describe his place in your family of three.
Rudy is the center of our whole world right now. He has Mommy and Daddy’s undivided attention and we cherish every moment that we can all be together as a family of three.
What milestones has he recently accomplished?
Rudy has been sitting on his own and holding his bottle on his own for the past two months. He has started giggling every once in a while which makes my heart burst! He also had his longest single stretch of sleep recently – 11 hours!
What is one thing you don’t want to forget about this stage he is in right now?
I think, more than anything, I don’t want to forget the quiet moments when I am rocking him to sleep, staring at his precious face, and he is so content that he just kind of melts in my arms.
Thank you, Baby Rudy! You did so good, and I can’t wait to see you eating birthday cake in just a few short months.
