Newborn Boy Baby Pictures in Parker, CO | Rudy

His beautiful cry reached the sound of their ears on a summer day, late in the morning.  Their prayers had been answered and Rudy was placed in their arms forever.  Their love for him could not be described in words, but I had the pleasure of helping them remember his first days at home for a lifetime through an in home newborn photography session.

Describe your pregnancy.

I had a dream pregnancy – no morning sickness, no swelling, no complications, I felt great pretty much the entire time up until the last month. We found out at 36 weeks that Rudy was breech and after discussing options with my doctor, we opted to have a scheduled c-section to bring him into the world safely at 39 weeks, 4 days.

Tell me a little about the day he was born.

We delivered at Rose Medical Center. The c-section was scheduled for 9:30 AM on August 2, 2019. The Rose Babies unit was extremely busy the night before/morning of and we had several emergency c-sections bumped in front of us. As the minutes passed by and nurses and doctors came in and out of our L&D room, I was getting more and more nervous. Then at 11:15, my doctor came in the room and said it’s time to go! Kent immediately put on his scrubs and we walked back to the OR with our L&D nurse. When we got to the OR, the anesthesiologist was called back to assist with another delivery, so we had to wait a little bit longer. We small chatted with the nurses and doctors in the OR for about 15 minutes and I remember joking with my doctor that we didn’t have the party without her (she was out of town for several days before August 2nd and joked with us at our last prenatal appointment to not have the party while she was gone). She laughed and gave me a big hug! The anesthesiologist finally made it back to the OR and gave me the spinal block. At this point, I was overcome with nerves and anxiety and super emotional. But as soon as the spinal block was in, the medical team laid me down and the curtain went up and within a few minutes we heard his first cry! Rudy came into the world butt first at 11:44 AM.

What does adding Rudy to your family of three mean to you?

The addition of Rudy to our family means everything to us. We had prayed and hoped for a new life to add to our family for a long time and we feel extremely blessed to be his parents. The amount of love that we have for this tiny little human is beyond words.

Describe Rudy’s personality.

Rudy is the sweetest little boy. He is such a good eater and a decent sleeper. He loves to snuggle and mom and dad love to snuggle him back. We can’t wait to watch him grow and see his personality flourish!

K Family, it is a great honor to be a part of such a big moment.  I hope everyday with Rudy is filled with love, and that you enjoy your sneak peek!
