Her newborn grin could light up the night sky, bringing an irresistible smile to all who see it! Meet Joelle! It is not only her smile, but the smell of her sweet skin, the sound of her helpless cry, and the look of her tiny frame that has captured her parent’s heart with indescribable love. Little Joelle was born a month premature, but still a good six pounds, four ounces at birth. Although she lost some of her birth weight initially, she’s grown tremendously since, filling out and getting some of that baby “chub” we all love. I was introduced to her and her sweet family on her actual due date in order to capture her as a newborn. What a special milestone to celebrate after eight months of waiting, and four weeks of caring for a premie.
While she did sleep for most of her session, and quite well I should add, her moment of silent “laughter” was the highlight of the session. Some claim those newborn smiles are simply gas, while others think they are dreaming. Whatever the reason, I’m predicting Joelle to be a happy baby who will grow up to be a content toddler and dynamic little person who will be full of joy.
If she wasn’t cute enough just to look at, Joelle’s adoring parents call her Jo-Jo. This nickname has my heart melting over her. And I will admit that if I were blessed with a girl of my own (which I wasn’t) I may have wanted to claim that nickname for my own little girl.
