Her beauty was radiant as we enjoyed a summer evening together. Tessa will be a senior in high school at Legend High School within just a few short weeks when school starts. Tessa has fond memories of England where her family lived from the time she was born until sixth grade. Tessa’s roots have given her a love for that country. When she brought along the flag of the UK (The Union Jack), I was excited to learn something new. Their flag isn’t symmetrical, as you may think. The white lines above and below the diagonal red lines are different widths. This makes it so that if you flip the flag upside down, it’s still the same. But if you turn it around to the backside, you’ll see the difference. It has a “right” way to fly it and a “wrong” way. Look it up! The significance of this small detail is important, and so we made sure to get it right for her pictures, in honor of the country of her childhood. Here’s more about Tessa:
What are you passionate about?
I like to listen to music and go see various artists live. I also love to travel and be able to explore new places, especially different hiking spots in Colorado.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
I would like to go to college and major in either business/ hospitality or journalism and get a minor in Chinese. I would also like to continue traveling, and hopefully go to South Africa one day.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
My favorite childhood memories come from living in England and then being able to travel around Europe with my family.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I’d like to be able to fully enjoy senior year and just have as much fun as I can while finishing up high school.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
To be more confident in myself, and to not care as much about what other people think.
Tessa, I couldn’t be any happier with your beautiful senior pictures. I hope you enjoy them, and that this upcoming year is filled with enjoyment, and anticipation for the road ahead.
