The P Family is special to me, and I’m so honored to be a part of their sweet family memories. Their grown daughter is married, and their son is a senior in high school! I know you’ll enjoy all the wonderful things mom P told me about them.
How long have you been married?
We’ve been married 28 1/2yrs and I wouldn’t change a thing, even the difficult times!
What does your family of five enjoy doing together?
With E now married, we still try & do family dinners or movie nights as much as possible. We’ve gone on family vacations together, out to dinner, even to the car races (which was surprisingly fun!!!)
How much a part of your family are those sweet pups?
Those dogs mean the world to us!! I truly believe God brought Bella into my life at the exact time I needed her most!! Three years ago my only daughter got married (which is a huge blessing, but left a hole in the house). In the mean time, my mom was battling cancer and we lost her July 15th of that year almost a month after E’s wedding. My mom & I were EXTREMELY close!!! And lastly our yellow lab of 14 years passed in September of the same year! Needless to say God does answer prayers because she was the exact lovebug I needed to help me through! (FYI Bella was born on July 15th-a God thing…..???)
As far as Sienna and Kuechly I think those two are preparing our daughter and son-in-law for eventual parenthood!!
What makes you all laugh together?
Most definitely my son’s antics! We love comedy, whether it’s a funny movie or Tim Hawkins, Jeff Foxworthy etc.
What is it like having adult (and young adult) children?
I think it’s different for each one. With my oldest, I held on a little too tight (even though I knew she needed to be out there I missed my relationship with my little girl!) However now we have a special adult mother/daughter bond which I wouldn’t trade for the world!! My son will be 18 in September so he’s at that age where one minute he’s my best friend and the next he’s arguing with me because I’ve told him, son that color is white and he’ll tell me NO IT’S NOT, IT’S BLACK, just because he can!!!!! We do give him a lot more freedoms than E had. Take the good with the bad, it’s great to have adult children! Although he tells his dad & I he’s going to live with us until he’s almost 30! So…….. I love him, however! Lol
Describe what your family means to you.
I’m pretty sure I’ve stated it already, but they’re everything to me. If I didn’t know Christ, I would be lost without them!! God knows what we need and He’s given me a huge blessing in my family, including my son-in-law with whom I think of as the second son I never had!!
P Family, what a joy it is to see you together and to watch God’s hand upon your lives (in both the highs and the lows). I’m encouraged by all that you’ve shared and I hope you enjoy these pictures forever!
