No introductions are needed this time! You’ve seen this family on my blog many times before. I may have told you already, but they were my very first session, and mom graciously loved even my budding “professional” photographer days and has returned every year since. I am honored to be part of their lives and find it so special to help preserve their years of growing up. Speaking of growing, the oldest, J is a freshman in college! She’s at school up in Grand Junction, so her trip down to Parker, Colorado was especially meaningful to the family and this session. Mom took a few moments to share a little about their family.
What is it like having J in college?
It is different without her, now I’m in a house full of boys! I guess you know all about that! The boys miss her too I can tell and are excited to see her when she comes home. I’m just going to have to take a girl’s weekend and go out and see her!
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We all like to do outdoor things like hiking, skiing, climbing (as you can tell from our session). We also enjoy watching movies and playing games.
Where is your favorite place to travel together?
Well, we haven’t done too much traveling other than going to MN every summer to visit family but I think some of the favorite trips we have been on were Yellowstone and Seattle.
What makes these four laugh?
Silly things mainly, they all like to make jokes and kid around with each other.
Any advice for parents just entering the teenage years?
Just enjoy your time with them. Make time to spend with each one individually as well as together. It’s all too easy to get caught up with the business of life and before you know it they are off to college and you don’t get to see them as much.
This family is about to have a houseful of teens when the youngest finally arrives there shortly. It’s a house full of commotion, yet busting at the seams with love. I’m tickled over their sneak peek and am so excited to show them off! M Family, enjoy!
