High School Senior Girl Photography | Maeve

Meet Maeve!  She’s a cheerleader with passion and has such a beautiful smile.  She also raises goats.  She pours out her love for animals into breeding goats, and caring for them as her own.  That’s actually the connection I have to Maeve.  Yeah, I know…. GOATS!?!  This summer a mutual friend of ours asked my boys to care for their goats while they were on vacation.  I was so proud of my guys for learning how to milk the momma goats and then bottle feed the babies (2-3 times a day!).  It was such a cool experience and we all FELL IN LOVE, especially with the sweet little babies.  Maeve and her mom also helped us with this task because it was SO MUCH WORK.  I can see why Maeve loves goats so much though.  Here’s more about the amazing Maeve:

Tell me about your interest in goats and how long you’ve been breeding them.

I have owned and taken care of goats for about seven years now. When I was younger I had a big interest in animals and animal science so the first time I saw a baby goat I fell in love. After that I convinced my parents to let me have one and keep it at a friend’s house. From there it escalated and now I have eight goats, but you can never have too many!

What are you passionate about?

A few things that I am passionate about are taking care of animals, dance/cheer, and medical related science. I would like to do something in the future that relates to the animal or human medical field or at least learn more about it, and as well I want to continue cheerleading in college.

Do you have any thoughts on where you would like to go to college and what you want to study?

I am really hoping to get into college at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I love Texas, and Rice has really good research opportunities. If that doesn’t work out I am also looking at Baylor, Notre Dame, and CSU. The two things I am thinking about studying right now are kinesiology for a career in physical therapy, or some kind of engineering. But I tend to change my mind a lot so who knows where I’ll end up at in the future.

What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

Some of my favorite childhood memories are from when my family and I used to go camping all over Colorado and in a few different states across the country. We would go at least a few times a month because my brother and I were still young and always find cool places to explore. My favorite trip was when we went to Port Aransas in Texas because my grandma got to join us and we spent lots of days at the beach.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

One thing that I hope to accomplish senior year is to increase my schools student body participation in school activities. I am on student council and we are planning lots of events that we hope will get everyone involved and overall create a better school community that will last many years after I graduate.

Maeve, you are amazing and I hope this year is extraordinarily special.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
