Meet sweet Sara (pronounced “saw-ra”). She graced their little world four days early on an overcast Friday, the twenty third of February in the evening. Measuring twenty inches long and all of seven pounds & four ounces, mom and dad fell in love immediately.
Describe what it was like to wait for her to come, especially those last few weeks of pregnancy.
We had been eagerly waiting for the little one’s arrival right from the beginning but the last two weeks began to seem like eternity. We couldn’t wait to see her and hold our precious in our arms.
What was her delivery like?
Her delivery was very quick and I would like to say easier than some of the delivery experiences I have heard from my friends and family. I was induced in the morning and the actual delivery lasted an hour and a half and she was out at seven fifty seven for us to love and cherish.
Describe the emotion you felt when you met her for the first time.
Love, pure love and disbelief! That someone so beautiful was created by us and we get to keep her too…
Are you getting much sleep?
Oh yes!! This baby is a good sleeper (knock on wood). At least 3 to 4 hrs at a stretch. Last night she slept for almost 6 hrs.
Does her name have any special meanings?
Sara was the first name we both really liked. We saw a million names after that but this one really stuck by us. It means princess. It also appealed to us as “Sa” is two alphabets from dad’s name and “Ra” is from mine.
Describe her personality.
She has been a quick learner, giving us cues whenever she needs something. In such a short span we feel like she has always been a part of us and we have known her forever. In some ways she resembles her daddy and sometimes her stubborness gives me a taste of my own personality. We are loving every bit of getting to know her better and hope she grows up to be as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
